Fairbanks Shakespeare Theatre will be hosting their 16th Bard-a-thon starting this Valentines Day, Feb. 14, to Feb. 21.
Bard-a-thon has become a tradition within the Fairbanks community since its initial creation in 1999, and consists of a giant group reading of all of Shakespeare’s works back-to-back from 12 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day that the event is held.
Anybody is allowed to participate in Bard-a-thon, and a good portion of the fun can come from having to perform the plays with people you’ve never met before. Bard-a-thon will be held at Raven Landing Center of 1222 Cowles St. with no participation fee, and a comprehensive schedule of plays shows what is being read at what times. It can be found online at http://www.fstalaska.org/bard-a-thon-16/
